Partner Creator Terms

Last updated September 2026

This is the agreement between you and us. We have written it the way we would say it out loud, and where a word would normally be legal jargon we have just said what it means instead. If a line in here bothers you, email us before you sign up. We would rather change the page than lose you over a sentence.

The short version

  • Your videos stay yours. All of them.
  • Your YouTube videos play from YouTube. We embed you. We never take a copy of your channel.
  • Your name and a link you choose go on every clip.
  • We may show you in our marketing and on our own accounts, always with your name and a link to your channel. Say stop and we stop.
  • Watching your video in Reelang is free. Our paid plan never gates it.
  • You can leave whenever you want, and we take you out within five working days.
  • Nobody pays anybody today. If that ever changes, you hear it from us in writing first.

The rest of this page is the same thing with the details filled in.

1. Who you are agreeing with

Us is Tojoa LLC, doing business as Reelang, a Wyoming limited liability company at 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. In practice that is Roman and Toby, and there is nobody else.

You agree to this when you sign in to Reelang Studio, or when you ask us to feature your channel. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, or a channel you do not own outright, you are telling us you are allowed to.

2. Your videos on YouTube

For most creators we work with, this is the whole relationship, so it goes first.

We do not take a copy of your channel. We embed you. Your video plays inside YouTube’s own player, on your video, so the play happens on YouTube and counts there like any other embed. Our captions, the level scale and the word tools are drawn around that player, not instead of it, and every clip has a button that opens the video on YouTube.

What we do with it:

  • read what YouTube already publishes about it (the title, the description, the thumbnail, the captions) and listen to the audio, so we can work out how hard it is and pull out the vocabulary,
  • put your name and one link you choose next to every clip.

Watching your video in Reelang is free. We do sell a subscription, Reelang+, and it buys the study tools around the video: unlimited word explanations, hiding subtitles that are burned into the picture. It never buys access to your clip.

3. Videos you make in Studio

This one only applies if you use Studio. You record it, you decide what it says, and nobody assigns you a topic.

You own it. Your face, your voice, your script, your footage. It is yours to post anywhere, and we would rather you posted it on your own channel too.

What we need from you is permission to show it in Reelang, and that is the next section.

4. The permission you give us

For any of this to work, you let us:

  • put your videos in front of learners, in the Reelang apps, on reelang.com, in our embeds and through our API,
  • run them through the machinery: cut, caption, subtitle, translate, transcribe, work out how hard they are and pull out the vocabulary and phrases. That is most of what the app does, and it is how your video reaches a learner at the right level instead of the wrong one,
  • store and stream the videos you make in Studio. The ones on your own channel we embed, we do not host,
  • show your name, your handle, your picture and your link next to them,
  • use short clips and stills to tell people about Reelang: our own accounts, app store pages, ads, press, always with your name on them and a link to your channel.

You are on camera and it is your voice, so that permission covers showing those too.

Three things this permission is not.

It does not tie your hands. Your video is still yours to post, sell or license anywhere else, to anyone, at any time. Nothing here takes an option on it.

Nobody is paying anybody for it. Not you to us, not us to you. That is Money, below.

It is not a sale. It has to reach the companies that actually deliver the app, which means our hosting and CDN, the App Store and Google Play, and anyone who embeds our catalogue through our API. And it works wherever the app works, because that is how apps work. We are not selling your video to anybody.

It lasts as long as your video is in Reelang, plus the short wind-down in Leaving.

5. Being in our marketing

We post on our own social accounts, and we make ads, store screenshots and language guides. Creators we work with show up in those.

Whenever they do, we credit you by name and we link to your channel, so anyone who sees it can go and find you. That is the entire reason we put you there. Everything we do with your work is meant to grow your audience, never to stand in for it.

If you would rather not be in any of it, or you want to see something before it goes out, email us and that is the end of it. It changes nothing else about working together.

6. What we will not do

We will not sell your video as stock footage. We will not hand it to anyone to train generative AI models on. We will not take your name off it or put somebody else’s on it. We will not put your video behind our paywall.

We do run automated analysis over it: how fast the speech is, what vocabulary is in it, how hard it is to follow. That is how it ends up in front of the right learner.

7. The one ask

While a video you made in Studio is live in Reelang, please don’t license that same video to another language-learning app or course platform.

That is the only exclusivity anywhere in this document. It covers Studio videos only, never the videos on your own channel. And your own channels are always fine: YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, your Patreon, your own course.

8. Money

Nobody pays anybody today. Studio is free and we pay the AI bills it runs up. We do not pay per view. What you get is reach, your link, and the numbers behind it.

We would like to pay creators, and we do not have a programme yet. Reelang is two people with no investors, and inventing a payout scheme on our own and handing it to you finished seems like the wrong way round. If this matters to you, tell us what would make it worth your time. Those conversations are what will shape it, and if anything changes you will have it in writing before it takes effect.

9. Studio itself

The tool, its templates, animations, brandmark, prompts and code are ours. What comes out of it is yours.

Studio is free and we pay for the AI it runs on, within reason: if one account starts costing more than the rest of the programme put together, we will come and talk to you before we do anything about it. If we ever add a paid tier, you hear about it first.

Please don’t resell Studio access or share your sign-in outside your own team.

10. What you promise us

The short version: it is your own work, and it is not going to get either of us sued.

You hold the rights to everything in it, including the music, the footage and the images. Anyone else on camera agreed to be there. It is not somebody else’s video re-cut.

Nothing illegal, hateful or sexual, and nothing that breaks the rules of the platforms we go out through. If you are not sure you have the rights to a piece of music, leave it out.

11. Leaving

Any time, no notice, no reason needed. Use the removal form or just email us. We take the video out of Reelang and stop streaming our copy within five working days.

Two honest caveats. Copies held by CDNs and app stores take a little while to expire. And marketing that is already out the door, a store screenshot or an ad that is running, gets swapped at the next update rather than instantly.

12. Ending the partnership

Either of us can end this at any time. We can remove content or close a Studio account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why.

13. The boring but necessary part

Every agreement needs one of these. Here is ours, as short as we could make it.

Studio is provided as is. We cannot guarantee it is always up, that a given video will find an audience, or that our level scores are right every time. No promise of views, of placement, or of any particular result.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or knock-on losses. If a court ever holds us liable anyway, our total liability will not exceed what you have paid us in the last twelve months, or $50 if you have not paid us anything, which you have not, because all of this is free.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If we end up in a disagreement we cannot sort out by email, it belongs in the state or federal courts in Wyoming. We would much rather sort it out by email.

15. Changes

We update the date at the top when this page changes. For anything significant we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in to Studio.

16. Language

This page is in English only, even where the rest of Reelang speaks your language. It is the agreement itself, so it stays in one wording everyone can point at. If we ever publish a translation, the English version is still the one that applies.

17. Getting in touch

Anything at all: [email protected]. There are two of us, so it is one of two people reading it.

To take something down, the fastest route is the content removal form. If you are still deciding whether any of this is for you, here is what we actually do.
